Vision for the Future
Defiance Christian Academy is a new Christian school in Defiance, Ohio set to launch in the Fall of 2025. The vision for Defiance Christian Academy (DCA) is to be a non-denominational Christian school providing students with a first-rate Christian educational experience. We educate students to have a life-long passion for learning as well as post-secondary academic and professional success. DCA will partner with the family and the local Church to develop dedicated followers of Christ. Students will be prepared through a wide variety of social and artistic opportunities, ready to be released to make an impact on the world.
WHO IS INVOLVED IN STARTING THIS SCHOOL?
Community members from various Defiance churches are coming together to pray, plan and meet the state requirements to become a non-public chart school that meets the EdChoice scholarship requirements. We have the enthusiastic support and prayers from the Defiance Regional Ministeral Assocation. We are working with the Ohio Christian Education Network, which is providing us with coaching to help start a new Christian school. We are also learning from Toledo Christian as a model school. We have been impressed with what we have seen at Toledo Christian and their leadership has been generous in sharing time, encouragement, and ideas to help us get started down the right path.

1-3 Year Vision to Get Started
We want to start DCA in the fall of 2025 in a church building in Defiance (location TBD) with whichever grade meets the community demand. Please help us understand which grades to consider starting with by filling out THIS SURVEY. It's better to start small, with big dreams, than not start at all!
5 Year Vision for the Future
We pray DCA becomes a K-12 Christian School with our own building and extracurricular activities in the arts and athletics. We are modeling DCA after Toledo Christian, and their leaders have become mentors and guides for us as we embark upon this exciting adventure of starting this school for our community.
