DCA Is Aiming to Launch Fall 2026

The Defiance Christian Academy Launch Board has made the decision to select fall of 2026 as the inaugural year for this non-denominational Christian School to enroll and welcome the students to fill the classrooms to bring this vision to fruition. While all the hard work was done with the vision to make fall of 2025 the inaugural year, there are several advantages to open in 2026 that helped solidify this decision as the path we are being led to take.

ADVANTAGES OF STARTING IN FALL 2026

1. In the coming months, we will receive full 501 (c)3 full and will allow us to apply for many grants, programs, and donations that will allow us to launch with excellence.
2. The additional time will give the opportunity to seek out the resources and talent that can support additional grades and begin the school year with the number of classrooms and grades the community has expressed interest in (which is upwards of 140 students across 13 grades).
3. The additional time allows us to coordinate facility improvements that will make DCA the highest level of safety and protection we can provide.
4. An additional year will allow us to gain momentum and support of financial commitments from the churches and community leaders that will help bridge the gap between the start of the school year and the Ed-Choice funding that cannot take place until our Charter is granted up to 5 months from the start of the school year.
5. Another full year for the great people of Northwest Ohio to learn about and get to know what DCA is all about. This translates to greater support, community involvement and input as we partner with parents to teach and raise the children in this area in the likeness of Christ.
